Hera are delighted to announce that they have acquired two novels from thriller author, Caroline England, writing under the pseudonym CE Rose. CE Rose’s first novel, a twisty, compelling psychological thriller set in a sprawling mansion in Northern England, is the tale of single mother, Serena Green, who accepts the role of housekeeper for elderly patriarch, Hayden Ramsay. However, as she gets embroiled in the life of the Ramsay family, Serena and her 4-year-old daughter soon discover this house is full of secrets – and danger lurks within its walls…
CE Rose’s first book will be published in Spring 2021, with the second book following later in the year. World rights were acquired from Kate Johnson at MacKenzie Wolf.
Keshini Naidoo, Publishing Director at Hera, said of the deal:
‘Caroline’s submission was a drop-everything-and-read thriller. I was completely immersed in the tale of Serena and Lana as they explore their new home and slowly discover that this beautiful mansion hides many ugly secrets. With an absolutely breathtaking last twist that floored me, I just knew we had to bring CE Rose to Hera. I’m so excited to be publishing this book, and I can’t wait for readers to discover this stunning thriller for themselves!’
CE Rose commented:
‘When I shared a sunny tipple with Keshini and Lindsey at the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival in Harrogate, I was immediately impressed by their expertise, professionalism and enthusiasm, so I’m delighted, excited and proud to have my CE Rose thrillers published by Hera Books.’
Kate Johnson added:
‘Caroline’s novels always offer a new twist, and I love the Gothic spin of this one, the chill of turning a page matching the chill of Serena turning a new corner in the Ramsay mansion. I’m thrilled that Caroline’s CE Rose titles have landed with the energetic Hera Books team.’
