Hera signs Irish crime writer, Jackie Walsh in a two-book deal
Hera are delighted to announce they have agreed a contract with debut Irish thriller writer, Jackie Walsh. World rights were agreed directly with the author by Keshini Naidoo, Publishing Director at Hera. Her first novel – a gripping psychological thriller about a woman whose dying mother tells her a truth that makes her question everything she believes - will be published in May 2019, with another following later in the year.
Keshini Naidoo, Publishing Director, said of the deal, ‘I finished Jackie’s book late one Friday night, having stayed up too late because I just had to see how the book ended. Immediately after closing the book, I knew we HAD to publish her at Hera. I was completely enthralled in the story of Becca, whose world falls apart when her mother whispers a secret to her in her dying days – and with twist upon twist, this book is a completely addictive, completely engrossing psychological thriller. I’m so happy to be publishing her and I can’t wait to launch this book on the world!’
Jackie Walsh commented, ‘When I first heard I was going to be published by Hera Books I was delighted. Having the opportunity to work with Keshini and Lindsey, with all their experience, is very exciting. I know my books are in good hands at Hera and I look forward to finding and thrilling a readership of my own.’
