Hera acquires their first dark Romantasy series by debut author Ivy Rose

Hera are delighted to announce that they have signed US-based author, Ivy Rose, in a three-book deal for her bloodthirsty, trope-filled vampire Romantasy series.

World rights, including translation and audio, were acquired directly from the author by Hera Executive Publisher, Keshini Naidoo.

This deliciously dark new Romantasy series begins with Of Shadow and Blood, where Liv, a young woman living in Carrion: a barren, unforgiving land, has woken from a coma afer a fall and finds herself transported to a new world. Waking in the forgotten kingdom, Lux, she is surrounded by Vampyr, magical sorceresses, and humans: all of whom believe she is the next queen destined to rule on a continent of tense rival kingdoms.

Torn between her past identity and the unsettling allure of their king, Liv faces an impossible choice: trust the cold Vampyr King to help break her curse…or flee.

Currently living in Phoenix, Arizona, Ivy Rose’s story is inspired by her own lived experience. After suffering a brain injury in Mexico while on vacation, Ivy spent four months undergoing treatment and recovery. When she ‘woke’ up from her trauma, she discovered a document on her laptop that she had no recollection of creating; this was the start of a fantasy novel that grew into The Vampyr Realms series.
